Key Team Members

• Dr Gao Zhigang, Chief Technology Officer
  Founder and President of CBN Bio-Engineering Co. Ltd., with over 30 years of commercial experience in the cultivation, production, research and development, and promotion of various microalgae products to 40 international markets worldwide, establishing CBN as a global leader in the microalgae industry.

   

• Calvin Hoo, Chief Executive Officer
  Ex-Chief Operating Officer of Biolina Sdn Bhd., a pioneer spirulina farm operator. Calvin handled technology transfer negotiations and was responsible for the design, selection of contractors, construction, testing and commissioning of the spirulina farm. As an Engineer by training, Calvin holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in System & Control Engineering from University of Sheffield.

   

• Enerson Yap, Chief Operating Officer
  Co-Founder and CEO of Algae Living, a pioneer microalgae startup dedicated to the research and development of a lipid-rich microalgae Nannochloropsis sp. Enerson has been actively involved in software development since 1999 and has supplied various IT solutions ranging from eCommerce, CMS, CRM, HR, Real Estate and Digital Media. A strong believer in the green revolution by venturing into farming, recycling and waste management since 2016. Enerson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Coventry.

   

• Marcus Fei, Chief Marketing Officer
  Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Algae Living. He has been involved in the health and wellness natural products industry since 2001. His roles include various aspects as product sourcing, development, operations, marketing and business development in Malaysia and across South East Asia. Marcus holds a Master in Financial Management from The Australian National University, a Master of Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management, and a Bachelor of Computing from Monash University.
